Each item reflects the history of Whitehaven - the key ring and fridge magnet show Haig Pit, the Candlestick and the coalminers Davy Safety lamp - first used here in Whitehaven. All three items depict the sailing ships built in Whitehaven to export coal and bring back trade goods - thus making Whitehaven the third largest port in the United Kingdom in the 18th Century. Great little souvenirs or gifts.
